Jobs
It’s no secret what it takes to attract job-creating businesses to a state and a community…an educated work force, low taxes, and a minimally intrusive regulatory system. Elizabeth will fight for all of these things in the legislature.
Education
Governor Jeb Bush has a saying about education reform that could not be any more true: success is never final. Although Florida’s schools have come a long way in the last decade, we need to continue to look for ways to reward our best teachers, to demand accountability and excellence from our students, and to ensure that our state colleges and universities are preparing Floridians to compete and win in the 21st century economy.
Crime
Sagging budget revenues are sure to lead some to argue for early release of criminals or for easing our sentencing laws on the front end. Scam artists will look for new ways to take advantage of people struggling to make ends meet. Elizabeth knows these are the last things our communities need, and she will fight to ensure the law enforcement community has the resources it needs to keep us safe.
Family
Elizabeth believes in and will fight for the traditional values we hold dear: safeguarding traditional marriage, promoting the sanctity of human life, and protecting our children from a culturally polluted environment.
Water
Having grown up around North Central Florida Springs, Elizabeth knows how important it is for our local economy, our health, and our overall quality of life to maintain our water supply and to protect our environment from polluters and poachers. Elizabeth will fight to keep North Central Florida’s water clean and right where it should be—in North Central Florida.
Second Amendment Rights
Elizabeth believes the second amendment right to bear arms is as fundamental as the other liberties guaranteed to us by the Constitution and will work to defeat any attempts to diminish the rights of gun owners.
